Two decades ago, Elisa began her journey in Switzerland and delved deeply into studying various European bee species, including Buckfast, Carnica, Carnolian, and Linguistica.

Following significant efforts to reintroduce the Black Caucasian Bee into the Geneva Basin she was to be noted one of the few beekeepers in the French-speaking region of Switzerland advocating for this initiative.

The Black Caucasian honey bee (Apis mellifera melifera) is a subspecies of the western honey bee, originating from the high valleys of the Central Caucasus. It is dark-colored with lead-grey hair and has the longest proboscis among honey bees, allowing it to extract nectar from deep flowers. These bees are gentle and prolific.

Her commitment to share experience brought her to initiate and structure comprehensive courses tailored for both beginners  and experienced beekeepers.

Throughout her career, she developed innovative techniques to ensure hives remain self-sufficient in wax production, eliminating the need for imported wax foundations that often contain harmful chemicals, and ensures that all hives retain sufficient honey to survive the winter with minimal human-assisted feeding.

She is a fervent advocate for biodiversity and sustainable farming practices, ensuring that her work contributes to preserving the delicate balance of Ecosystems.
